Tinsel on branches;

Carols on radios and

Butter on door latches.

Christmas cards, snowflakes,

and four foot pine trees;

Poems and term papers and

Sneezes by threes.

Three hour drives home,

Finals on Saturdays;

Warm wooly sweaters,

And presents on Christmas Day.

Stan and a quilt,

M*A*S*H on TV;

"Sister Christian" playing,

Is Christmastime to me.
