10/26/95
It seems to me,
That life could be
Much better than before.
If I would go
And run away
To someone else's door.
To be welcomed in,
With a joyous din.
All smiles and caring faces.
My day would be
More carefree,
At other people's places.
Alone I cry,
And wave goodbye
To faces all too often.
Friendships begun,
And now undone,
As memories sweet do soften.
As time goes by,
So shall I,
Become a memory to cherish.
Gone like a dove,
Although quite loved.
The light within will perish.
