The Woman On the Wall

9-1-92

I stare into the eyes of the drawing.

See the passion in her green irises.

She, the powerful one hanging on my wall.

A fiery temper stirs within.

Her long flowing brown hair

Caresses her bare shoulders,

And her collarbone is determined.

Some days I feel her telling me what to do,

But on others, like today,

She is just an image on the wall,

Brash brushstrokes,

Just a drawing of a girl

By Steve from California.

Just a piece of paper that means nothing to no one,

Except me.
