The Greeting

8/22/95

She walks up to you very slowly, almost sensual for a walk. The clothes she wears are all black, but very non-descript - your mind does all the imagination of her appearance. As she approaches you, you notice the strong eye contact she is making, relentless to say the least.

She is standing in front of you now, eyes locked, and a softness flickers in her gaze. She slowly brings her arms up to wrap them around your neck, and reflexively you bend down to enfold her small frame. She holds you firmly, and you straighten up, taking her with you. Her eyes slowly break contact and she lays her head on your shoulder, and her breath comes in slow measured sighs, warming and cooling your neck with each intake.

You bring her back to earth, and your arms move from the small of her back to the veil of long brown hair down her back. You become enraptured with the feeling of her hair, and she follows your lead by running her fingers through the hair at the base of your neck. She gently kisses the spot where her breath has warmed your skin, and she pulls away from you a bit.

She re-connected her gaze and the energy that surges between your eyes and hers could run a town for several days. She brings her arms down from around your neck, slowly, and caresses each part of your arms as she pulls her hands away, then joins them in yours around her waist. She links her fingers through yours, and squeezes lightly.

She whispers something softly, and you lean closet to have her repeat it. When you are within range, she leans to meet you and kisses your ear, lightly - as if a hummingbird were landing. She nibbles at your earlobe for a moment, and swirls her tongue lightly about it before you realize that she had nothing to whisper after all.

Her lips move lightly from your earlobe, flitting down your neck to where your shirt covers your chest. She kisses the little bit of skin that shows below the neck, not tempting herself with nudging the shirt away, then brings her eyes back up to yours. This simple gesture makes you smile at her, and she smiles back - the unspoken conversation shared.
