About me...

You know, I've made hundreds of web pages, but I seldom write about myself. I'm not exactly sure why that is, except that I really don't feel comfortable talking about myself. Besides, who out there really gives a flying leap what my dog looks like or if I like to do underwater basket weaving on the holidays.

However, my previous web page was almost a full decade out of date and I was told by several people that it was about time I update this thing.

It's true that I have longer than usual hair for a guy. It's also true that half the time it was in a ponytail or in a French braid.

I have the greatest job in the world. I am a technology consultant, which gives me the opportunity to work on a lot of interesting projects at a lot of interesting places. In the past few years, I've:

Helped design one of the biggest document management systems in the world, with millions of documents going back over 100 years.
Worked on the design of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Lived and worked for a year in Pune, India
Lived and worked in Velizy-Villacoublay, Paris, France while consulting for Peugeot
Was featured on the evening news and in the newspaper a few times too many while working on a high-profile project for the state of Washington.

I'm not sure I have any anymore. But when I do have time (i.e. during meetings) I use it as an opportunity to catch up on my sleep or make notes about the answers to the New York Times Crossword Puzzle knowing Brandy will ask for them later.
